Smart Memo respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.

Data Collection

Smart Memo does not collect, transmit, or store personal data on external servers. All your data stays on your device.

Permissions Used

Smart Memo requests the following permissions:

• Microphone: Required to record audio. Recordings are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded.
• Speech Recognition: Used to transcribe your recordings on-device using Apple's Speech framework.

On-Device Processing

All audio recordings, transcripts, summaries, and AI interactions are processed entirely on your device using Apple system frameworks:

• Speech Framework: Converts your recordings to text using on-device speech recognition.
• Apple Intelligence (Foundation Models): Generates summaries and powers the chat feature. All AI processing happens locally on your device.

No audio, transcripts, or AI conversations are sent to our servers or any third-party AI services.

Third-Party Services

Smart Memo does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We don't know who you are or what you record.

Feedback & Support

If you choose to contact us for support or submit feedback through the app, your message and any information you provide will be transmitted to us. This is user-initiated and optional. We do not automatically collect or transmit any data without your action.

Data Storage

Your recordings are stored locally on your device using iOS Core Data. You can delete your data at any time by removing projects within the app or by uninstalling the app.

Data Retention

Your data remains on your device until you choose to delete it. We do not have access to your data and cannot delete it remotely. When you delete a project or uninstall the app, all associated data is permanently removed from your device.

Children's Privacy

Smart Memo is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since all data is stored locally on the device and we do not collect any user data, there is no personal information transmitted to us from users of any age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
